QUESTION:
Can people listen in on your communications with the lander directly?  How
do you keep others from controlling the vehicle?

ANSWER from Steve Stolper on July 17, 1997:
It is very difficult to intercept communications between the lander and the
ground.  First, you would have to understand the communication formats.
Second you would have to know the telecommunications state of the
spacecraft. And lastly, you would need a VERY BIG ANTENNA.
