Dear Third Graders and Ms. Mills and Ms. Morton,

Living at Palmer Station is simultaneously very familiar yet completely
different from anything I'd experienced.  The familiarity comes because
in many ways living at Palmer is like living at college.  You live in a
dormitory, eat meals in a dining hall, and then go to work right in the
same complex, along with all your fellow station-mates.  The difference
comes in the spectacular scenery and isolation from normal activities
you would have back home.  It is a fantastic experience, like no other
place on earth.
