Actually Catie, no they really didn't.  I study other animals back 
in the states.  When I first learned that I was coming down here, I 
read about the type of work that I would be doing.  However, as with 
most projects, the true learning comes from the actual experience.  I 
don't think that I could have read and learned nearly as much as the 
first few days that I was down here.
