QUESTION: What do you do with your urine at field sites? Chincoteague High School Students ANSWER from Mary Lenox, Antarctic Support Associates Palmer Station, Antarctica Tue, 15 Apr 1997 11:51:58 -0500 Hello, Chinoteague High School. At field camps, urine is suppose to be collected in Nalgene bottles and disposed of either into the station's sewer system or if the sea is more convenient, directly into the sea. We are directed to leave no human waste on land. I am only familiar with the Peninsula side of the US Antarctic Program, but I do believe that this is the policy on the Continent as well. Cheers, Mary Lenox
