16 Dec. 94 - Friday 3:40 p.m. leave from Charlottesville, Virginia change planes in Washington at Dulles Airport

5:00 p.m. leave Dulles for Los Angeles

10:00 p.m. leave LA for Auckland, New Zealand

Arrive Auckland NZ on Sunday, December 18th at 8:50 a.m.

18 December - Sunday 8:50 a.m. leave Auckland for Christchurch 10:10 a.m. arrive Christchurch

From there I hope to go to McMurdo around the 20th! Then I will wait for the CARA scientists to catch up to me after Christmas and go on to the South Pole from there around the 1st of January.

Apparently, Christmas is celebrated on Christmas Eve with a nice dinner and party. I'm bringing "street" clothes for it as people apparently dress up.
