Has the Polar Duke ever been surround by ice and had to wait a certain
period of time to get free?

Dear Jeffery,

The Polar Duke has been surrounded by ice many times but can usually break 
free with no problem.  However, one time the Duke was stuck for a week 
and had to wait until the wind and currents broke up the ice enough for 
the ship to push her way out!
