Dear Steve,

Another very good question.  Steve, quite a bit of research has been 
done regarding different diseases that penguins carry.  According to 
Judy Clarke and Kerry Knowles, these sicknesses may range from a flu-
like virus to salmonella.  Right off hand, I don't see any indication 
that penguins get rabies, but that sickness might also be carried by 
these individuals.  However, I'm not sure.
