QUESTION: Where would you take an injured penguin? Toby W., 13 Lewiston Alternative Middle School Lewiston Idaho ANSWER from Donna Patterson, Research Assistant, Dr. Fraser's Team Palmer Station, Antarctica Thu, 20 Mar 1997 14:14:18 -0500 Hello Toby, There really isn't anywhere to take an injured penguin here, we are very isolated (800 miles from Chile) and we are limited to what we could do for an injured animal. Penguins are extremely tough animals; we have seen adults return with leopard seal bites and still successfully raise their chicks. Thanks for your question! Donna Patterson
