Do different species of penguins fight with each other?

Dear Fourth Graders and Ms. Heisler,

    There were a couple of different species at the island where I 
was working.  The different species would peck at each other, but not 
more than they would peck with those of the same species.  I think 
that a penguin might be defensive of anything that comes too close to 
its nest despite what species it is.
